The Beyer-Dynamic DT-990 was obviously the solution. HOWEVER, its 250 Ohm impedance was a bit much for my little interface I was using for online jamming. But, lo and behold, when I took a look on Amazon, I found that Beyer-Dynamic were offering an 80 Ohm unit of the "same" DT-990.
In addition, each model is offered in multiple impedances, including less common "special editions" that go all the way down to 16 ohms and up to 600 ohms. For 990's, the 250 ohm model seems to be most common; the 600 ohm model supposedly sounds the best due to the larger voice coil (or so the internet likes to say) and may or may not have a
Aug 19, 2020. #1. I’ve read here on the forum some good reviews on Beyerdynamic headphones. I just bought three pairs of Beyerdynamic headphones to test out with my Axe FXIII. They should be here tomorrow. Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, 250 ohm, closed back. Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro, 250 ohm, half open back. Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro, 250 ohm, open back.
Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 250 ohm - 95/100 Audio Technica ATH M50x - 92/100 Sennheiser HD 598 - 90/100 Sony MDR 7506 - 85/100 Build: These are extremely well built. The cans may look like cheap plastic but it is extremely solid construction. Beyerdynamic have thoroughly thought this design through to the last detail.
The Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro comes in three headphone impedance variants namely 32, 80 and 250 ohm variants. The best ohm version you can go for is the 250 ohm variant for Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro. This is due to several reasons; the main one being the sound signature and wider sound stage than other two lower impedance versions.
Audio. Need help with DT990 + SoundBlasterX G6 for gaming. I recently bought the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO Studio Headphones (Ninja Black, Limited Edition) 250 ohm and the SoundBlasterX G6 dac/amp. I’m having trouble hearing directional audio such as footsteps, gunshots, etc.
The DT 990 Pro has the same design language as the DT 770 Studio; We are still seeing the same black chassis, plastic earcups, and gray velour ear pads. We are unable to distinguish between the two headphones when just looking at the front. The only difference in the design is the earcups. The DT 770 features a closed-back design while the DT
ASTRO MIXAMP PRO TR PAIRED WITH BEYERDYNAMIC DT 990 (250) Question. I have been using my Astro A50 Gen 4 for a while now and feel like I want another pair. Decided to go with the DT-990 (250) because of the great reviews and like the Astro eq command center. My concern after some research is that the mix amp pro TR will be at 250 oms.

twsecrest said: The DT990 has a strong bass/treble, which slightly overshadows the mids, but the mids are clear. DT880, more balanced sound, than the DT990, but the DT880 is slightly bright sounding. I own the DT880 (250 & 600) and the DT990 (250 & 600). they gather dust, I prefer the Soundmagic HP200.
If you’re confused about the different versions of Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO differentiated by impedance value, we suggest sticking with the 80 or 250-Ohm models. Really, the only reason you’d want ultra-high impedance headphones like the 600-Ohm model is if you were listening with far out-of-date equipment exclusively, as it has a high
Been looking into getting myself a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 990 pro with and impedance of 250 Ohms. I have used digiZoid to figure out that i need 25,2 mW at 110 dB SPL. I'm not really looking to get an expensive Amp, but one that does the job. so I looked at the Behringer MICROAMP HA400, cheap and seems to be decent.
